Biography

I've always wanted to be a stand-up comedian since I started watching "An Evening At The Improv" on A&E as a kid. Do you really give a shit about my influences? Probably not, but you're on my bio page so I'm required to tell you. I idolized Sinbad during his hilarious HBO comedy specials in the late 80's early 90's and I admired the timeless comedy of Jackie Gleason in old reruns of The Honeymooners. That's it. Sinband and Jackie Gleason created Phil Farda.

A new comedy club opened up locally and I got my first opportunity to get on stage at Fat Katz Comedy Club's open mic night in early 2002. I performed there weekly leading up to the club's open mic competition where I reached the finals and placed 2nd to a black guy who is now a successful male nurse.  My comedy was well received and my performance in the contest led to a regular hosting gig at the club. It was during this time I got to open shows for such veteran comedians as Charlie Murphy, Jimmy "JJ" Walker, and Kevin Meany. I worked at the club and performed around CNY until 2006 when Fat Katz closed it's doors for good.

I took a temporary hiatus from comedy and returned to a "regular" job working full time in the wireless communications industry. I performed only occasionally during the next several years. It wasn't until January 2012, when I played to a sold out crowd at the Uptown Theater in Utica, that I decided to pursue comedy full time like that fat little Sinbad Jackie Gleason loving tub of shit always wanted.

It was at this time I started to develop a business plan to return live professional stand-up comedy to Utica. In July of 2012 I began producing a series of comedy show as Comedy CNY. Since it's conception my business has grown into the premiere provider of comedy entertainment locally. I've produced dozens of successful fundraisers to benefit local charities and non-profits and introduced a truly unique brand of comedy-infused bar trivia unlike anything else in the area.

In July of 2014 I launched my first ever web series titled Comedians In Coffee Discussing Wrestling. So stop reading this shit and go check out the web series.
